Mia loved playing in her green backyard. One sunny afternoon, she heard a soft sound coming from the bushes. It sounded like a tiny, sad "meow".
Mia walked over and gently pushed the green leaves aside. Hiding in the dirt was a very small, orange kitten. The poor little thing had white paws and a muddy tail. It looked up at Mia with big, round eyes and shivered.
Mia ran inside her house to get help. She came back with a small bowl of warm milk and a soft, pink towel. She placed the bowl on the grass. The hungry kitten crawled out of the bushes and happily drank all the milk. Mia then wrapped the kitten in the warm towel to dry its fur. She decided to name her new little friend Sunny.
